The Museum also hosts special exhibitionson Chinese ancient art, which contains artifacts of bronze, porcelain, jade; collections of Buddhist statues, furniture of Ming and Qing (1368-1911), ink painting and calligraphy.

The celestial Temple is a complex of Taoist temples, which covers an area three times larger than Forbidden city.

Originally it served a large altar for the solemn rites performed by the Emperor prayed for good harvests.

The Chinese celebrate an endless number of festivals during the year, part of which falls in November.
