But there are exceptions, when the temperature can rise to 32 degrees. And although the air temperature on average is only 17 degrees, but the temperature of the water lasts a long time +22 degrees, so in the lake you can swim all summer.
Autumn lasts for two months is October and November. In these months the day can be warm, the sun is shining, but the night feels the approach of winter: the temperature drops and can become only 5 degrees. Here today many tourists are attracted by the fact that in 2006, archaeologists on the bottom of the lake discovered a very ancient city. Or rather, not the city, and its ruins. As it turned out, there was once a civilization that flourished 2500 years ago. Due to the fact that the city is located on the bottom of the lake, it is difficult to investigate, but archaeologists from the Kyrgyz-Russian University, it was postulated that maybe here is the grave of Genghis Khan.
In the middle ages there was a legend that on the shores of this lake stood the town of chisu, through which passed the silk road. This city was ruled by a very powerful Khan, who collected tribute from the merchants. But then the city was gone and it was known only from legends. Many scientists believed such data on city of myth, but some travelers reported that at the bottom of Issyk-Kul saw the ruins. And only in the end of 80-ies of the last century, was sent the first expedition, which began the study of the underwater Kingdom of the lake.
As you can read from the report, on the bottom of the lake has indeed been found some ruins. And in 2006 underwent a research which confirmed that on the bottom of a lake lies an ancient civilization. Even today, any tourist on a Sunny day through the clear lake water can see at the bottom the ruins of stone buildings.
